CLA Student Emissaries

The CLA Student Emissary Program is a dynamic group of undergraduate student leaders who share their unique experiences of MTSU CLA with prospective students, families, alumni, and community members and promote the college in a variety of ways.

Student Emissaries gain valuable skills, are provided opportunities to network with a strong group of peers, as well as the CLA Dean’s office, faculty and staff, and become more engaged in the MTSU CLA community. Students who fulfill their meeting and event requirements receive a stipend each semester and during the summer.

CLA Student Emissaries must:

  • Be enrolled in a College of Liberal Arts major
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Be available for meetings on Wednesdays at 9:10 am during the Fall and Spring semesters
  • Attend and participate in at least 2 events each semester (New to Blue Orientation or Preview Days, college or department level special events and projects, etc.)

Recruitment for new CLA Student Emissaries occurs every spring semester. Contact Dr. Meredith Dye, CLA Associate Dean, for more information.
