MTSU Academic Credit for the TAA Experience

Participants in the Tennessee Arts Academy may request to enroll in a graduate course to receive academic credit for their participation and engagement in the learning experience. Graduate coursework will be on an independent study basis supervised by a member of the MTSU faculty.

Process

  1. Participants should contact Dr. Vannatta-Hall to express interest in receiving academic credit.  In your email, please indicate your TAA program area.
  2. Dr. Vannatta-Hall will connect participants to the Faculty of Record for the course.
  3. Once participants and faculty have agreed on requirements for completing the course, participants must be admitted to the MTSU College of Graduate Studies.
  4. Participants will be provided with a Course Registration Number (CRN) and must pay associated MTSU tuition (3 credits) and fees directly to MTSU. What does it cost?
  5. On Sunday evening at the start of the TAA experience, participants will meet with Dr. Vannatta-Hall for a brief orientation session. Details will be provided at a later date.
